Contributing Ideas and Content
Creative Ideas from Around the World
Imagine our surprise when our first unsolicited offer of "original content" for publication came from a player in Nepal, a small nation which is currently ranked 169th in men's soccer in the world.
Given the popularity of soccer and the 16 other invasion sports played worldwide that share the same principals of play and which are played by over 1.5 billion people, someone, somewhere has already had an idea most of us haven't ever considered. For example, by the time Rinus Michels introduced "pressing soccer" as a defensive tactic at Ajax, basketball players had been using presses for decades and ice hockey players had been using checking for close to a century.
And some ideas for training and play actually come from nations playing sports many have never heard of. For example, one very useful vision training practice exercise comes from a netball training video made in New Zealand.
Invitation to Share Ideas
There are a lot of very good ideas that have been developed by creative coaches and players of the world's invasion sports, There are also very good ideas on the preparation, conditioning and training of athletes.
If you know of an effective technique or exercise that you do not find on our pages, we would love to learn about it. Please complete our Sharing Content Form and if it's from a published source covered by copyright please include that information so that we only publish materials we are legally able to publish. If your content suggestion is appropriate we will gladly add it to our list of things to publish and, of course, give credit where credit is due.
